Zionsville Education Foundation

About ZEF

The Zionsville Education Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to making a positive impact on public education in Zionsville. With the generous financial support of our parents, community members, educators, and local businesses, we are able to fund grant requests for innovative programs within the Zionsville Community School system. We also partner with the Community Foundation of Boone County (CFBC) on joint-funding of education-based initiatives.

With your help ZEF has been able to award over $250,000 in Grants for Education since 1996.  ZEF offers two teacher grant cycles every school year; one in the fall and one in the spring. Most recently, in the spring of 2007, we were able to award over $29,000 in education grants to our deserving teachers and administrators. ZEF also awards two Imagine Grants ($1500 each) per year specifically for educator enrichment.

The money to support our grant initiatives is provided by donors and income generated from special events. Our 6th annual "ZEF Oktoberfest", a dinner/dance/auction, will be held the first Saturday of October. In the spring of 2007, the inaugural ZEF "In Style" Luncheon was held and was a success.  We will continue these popular events, as well as others, in the future.
