ZEF’s Mission

In our 30th Anniversary year, ZEF has awarded more than $2M in grants to ZCS teachers, students, and schools. Your donations support and further academic excellence in our schools through innovative classroom grants, strategic initiative grants, student enrichment grants, and professional development opportunities.

Learn more about how ZEF fulfills our mission by learning about our latest grant recipients here. ZEF grants provide funding for every school at every grade level in the district. Questions about donations or planned giving? Don’t hesitate to contact ZEF Executive Director Catherine Moser at cmoser@zcs.k12.in.us.

“ZEF funding allows teachers and students to explore concepts in ways that wouldn't be possible without the help of these grants. This was my first ZEF grant and allowed me to incorporate more real life applications of math and help make middle school math more fun and enjoyable.” - Bailee Newton, Zionsville Middle School, 6th grade teacher

“This grant allowed us to transform our advanced science labs into efficient, engaging, and truly college-level experiences for students. Having modern, reliable equipment has elevated the quality of our experiments and made the learning process more meaningful and less rushed. Students now have the time and tools to think like scientists!” - Jessie Showalter, Zionsville Community High School, 9-12th grade teacher
