How We Do It

Each year, the Zionsville Education Foundation accepts applications for Classroom Grants, Imagine Professional Development Grants, Student Enrichment Grants and Donors Choose matching funds. Besides providing forms, we are ready and eager to help applicants make a difference in our community.

Grants Available

Types of grants available include the following:

Classroom Grants

Classroom Grants support academic excellence and innovation; community and school partnerships; and matching funds for external grants. These grants are awarded in the fall and spring of each year. The deadline for completed grant applications for Spring 2026 Classroom Grants is Tuesday, February 10, 2026 by 5:00pm.

Imagine Professional Development Grants

For experienced teachers in Zionsville Community Schools, our Imagine Grants (awarded once a year) promote opportunities for professional growth, development, and renewal. The deadline for 2026 Imagine Grant applications is Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 5:00pm.

Student Enrichment Grants

Available to any school-sanctioned student groups at Zionsville Community Schools, these matching funds (up to $5,000 annually) promote activities that benefit the educational experiences of ZCS students and others. Completed grant applications may be delivered to the ZEF office anytime throughout the year.

Donors Choose

To help ZCS teachers who are raising funds for an educational project through DonorsChoose.org, ZEF can fund a maximum of $250 per project. Funded through a generous grant from the Community Foundation of Boone County.

Latest Grants Awarded

The Zionsville Education Foundation (ZEF) awarded $25,910 in 2025 Fall Classroom Grants, providing funding for 10 innovative projects that will enrich academic experiences for students across the district.
